A Qantas plane carrying 329 passengers on its way from Sydney to Los Angeles has been forced to return to Australia because of a faulty fuel pump.
The A380 had to divert to Melbourne due to wet weather at Sydney airport.
Passengers were provided with accommodation in Melbourne overnight and will fly to Los Angeles this afternoon.

FRUSTRATED passengers have been stranded in Sydney for more than 26 hours following problems with two Qantas A380s.
Around 120 passengers on flight QF31 experienced the lengthy delay on the Sydney-Singapore-London service.
