
THE ASX had dropped one per cent lower at noon, weighed down by the banks and following a weak lead from Wall Street.
At 12.05 pm, the benchmark S&P/ASX200 index was down 49.4 points, or 1.02 per cent, at 4,787.0, while the broader All Ordinaries fell 47.6 points, or 0.98 per cent, to 4,795.0 points.
